Liz arranges her dental appointment but needs someone to drive her home afterwards. The only problem is, everyone else has Valentine’s Day plans and she has no one to drive her home. Even Kenneth has plans to attend an all-day abstinence rally. Jenna confronts Maynard at his fast food workplace. Maynard admits to seeing a therapist and that his stalking of Jenna is through. Jenna thought Maynard’s stalking of her would end with her in the trunk of a rental car, not with him dumping her. Back at the studio, Jenna remembers all the creepy, scary stalker things Maynard did to her over the years and feels let down for Valentine’s Day.

Jack appears on MSNBC’s “Hot Box with Avery Jessup” and instantly connects with the right-wing broadcaster. Avery and Jack agree to drinks, but Jack’s fake call from Jonathan, to either impress his date or have an excuse to leave the date, backfires. Avery is too smart and leaves Jack at the bar, forelorn. The next day Avery contacts Jack, giving him one more chance with her. Jack arranges for her to watch a live taping of TGS. Meanwhile Liz is still looking for a ride since the male escort she hired bowed out due to an STD flare-up.

Jenna finds a creepy cut-out of her face with no eyes on her dressing room mirror and is thrilled, she has another stalker. Jenna realizes Kenneth made the collage to cheer Jenna up. Jenna hugs Kenneth, grateful someone is thinking of her, even in a creepy way, for Valentine’s Day.

Jack sets up a phony VIP section at TGS to impress Avery. NBC artist-in-resident Jon Bon Jovi is stuck hanging around the VIP section because of his contract. When he comes over to introduce himself to Avery, Jack blows him off as he and Avery head out for a private date. Bon Jovi walks away dejected, muttering “I hate this place”.

Liz decides to lie to the dental assistants about having someone to pick her up thinking she can do it all on her own. Liz has her root canal and during anesthesia starts halluncinating that Drew, Dennis and Floyd are visiting her for Valentine’s Day. Avery gets ready to leave Jack’s place after a one-nighter. Jack wants to go further with the relationship but Avery thinks Jack is just like every other silver fox she’s ever known.

Jack gets a call from the dental office, asking him to pick up Liz Lemon, who it totally out of it after her surgery. Jack asks Avery to accompany him while he picks up Lemon. Jack and Avery arrive at the dental office to find Liz trying to make out with a potted palm tree, thinking the tree is Drew, Dennis or Floyd. Jack gets Lemon safely home while Avery begins to think Jack may be worth a second date after all.

As Valentine’s Day approaches Andy wants to give Erin a card. Andy’s plan is to give everyone in the office a card so it is not so obvious to Erin how much he likes her. Erin loves her card but doesn’t recognize Peanut’s Snoopy and Woodstock in the card, leaving Andy puzzled. Kelly gets a mushy card from Andy and thinks Andy is crushing on her. If only Kelly knew Andy didn’t bother to read the cards before passing them out and has no clue. After Kelly reveals her card to Erin, Erin is crushed knowing she can’t compete with the sophisticated Kelly for Andy’s affections.

As Jim and Michael wait on Jo’s decision about who will manage the office, Pam points out to Jim that Sabre salesmen have no cap on commissions. Jim realizes he can make twice as much as he does now and tells Jo and Michael that Michael, having more managerial experience, should be the office manager, while he goes back to sales. Michael finds out Jim’s plan and wants more money too, telling Jo as the manager with the most experience he feels Jim is more suited to be the manager. Jo decides to go with Michael’s decision. Jim becomes the manager, ticking off Jim and giving Michael a chance to go back into sales in the main office.

Dwight can’t believe Jim is now the sole manager for the office and meets with Ryan to devise a plan to get rid of Jim. Ryan suggests torturing Jim and Ryan and Dwight end up arguing. Dwight thinks Ryans ideas are stupid, giving Dwight the idea of getting rid of Ryan too. Michael sits at his sales desk and gets little work done, complaining about everything. Michael is dismayed by the smell in the room, an after effect of Phyllis’ medication she warned the office about via email. Michael longs for his old office and decides he’d be happier being the manager again.

As Andy waits at the copier, Kelly seems to be paying a lot of attention to him and he is perplexed. When Kelly gives Andy a kiss on the cheek, Erin is upset and Andy asks the other staff members what is going on with Kelly. Meredith tells Andy the Valentine’s card he gave Kelly is so romantic they’d be doing it in the bathroom by this point if she got the same card.

Michael tells Jim he wants his manager job back. Jim is relieved as they inform Jo about their decision. At this point Jo tells them she doesn’t care who runs the office, they can decide between themselves if they just stop bugging her about it. Michael enjoys his office again, having Erin bump up his computer keyboard’s synthesizer music.

Andy panics about the Kelly card and sends out a general email telling the staff the Valentine’s cards were just meant as friendship cards, sending Kelly into a rant about Andy’s true feelings for her. Andy makes it clear they are just friends because he likes someone else, which makes Erin’s day. Erin smiles knowing Andy likes her, not Kelly.

The study group gets Valentine’s from the GCC Mascot as a very hung-over Britta enters the room with dark sunglasses and a cup of coffee. Everyone in the study group except Troy and Pierce receive Valentine’s gifts. Jeff ribs Britta over the booty call and, embarrassed that she left the message, she leaves the study group in a hurry. Abed warns Jeff he must drunk dial Britta back or awkwardness will ensue between them.

During Spanish class Senor Chang is disgruntled when the GCC Mascot appears and delivers Valentine’s gifts to Pierce and Troy. Senor Chang knows Pierce and Troy sent themselves Valentine’s gifts and calls them on it in front of the class, making fun of them and leaving Pierce and Troy humiliated. Shirley and Annie are angry with Senor Chang’s mean rant at Pierce and Troy and decide to get back at him. Jeff tries to talk to Britta at the cafeteria buts she seems embarrassed about the call and leaves.

As Jeff enters the room, Abed is filming another episode of Community College Chronicles. Jeff asks Abed for advice and Abed plans a practice fake drunk dial for Jeff in his dorm room. Director Abed asks Jeff about his feelings for Professor Slater and Britta to get a believable drunk dial performance out of him, but Jeff scoffs at Abed’s methods. Abed goes all Stanislavski on Jeff and decides they must get drunk for Jeff’s call to Britta. Jeff and Abed have a little too much fun drinking and get plastered, passing out in the dorm room and missing their Spanish class the next morning.

The GCC Mascot brings Senor Chang a fake Valentine, a letter from Princeton offering him a new job in the Spanish department. Senor Chang knows the letter is fake and vows to get back at whoever sent it. Senor Chang accuses Troy and Pierce of trying to get back at him and perpetrating the crime. Senor Chang demands that Troy and Pierce be his escorts at the Valentine’s Day dance, dressed in ladies’ pants suits, if they don’t he will fail them.

Jeff and Troy wake up from their drunken extravaganza to find it is three in the afternoon. Abed confirms Jeff drunk dialed Britta and Professor Slater, neither of which Jeff remembers. Jeff meets up with an upset Professor Slater at the Valentine’s Day dance, to find that he called her thinking she was Britta. Pierce and Troy arrive at the dance in trench coats covering their ladies’ pants suits for their evening of Chang punishment. Shirley and Annie confess to Pierce and Troy they were the ones who pranked Senor Chang, and should be punished. Pierce and Troy tell the girls they will take the fall to spare them Chang’s wrath, realizing that Shirley and Annie care enough to stick up for them against Chang. Pierce and Troy make the walk of shame to the dance floor in ladies’ pants suits to dance with Chang.

Britta arrives dressed in a slinky red dress with her cell phone in hand. She teases Jeff about his booty call, then plays the first 20 seconds of the call, assuring Professor Slater Jeff’s call was innocent. As they hug, Britta whispers to a surprised Jeff there was much more to the drunken call, but that’s their secret.

Cuddy wakes at 5:00 a.m. to find her daughter is ill with a temperature. Marina, the nanny, arrives to take care of baby Rachel. Lucas arrives home from a stakeout of a client having asked House to stakeout with him for advice on the case. Cuddy has an important meeting today with the board and with the hospital’s insurance carrier, and needs to work on her proposal before the meetings begin. Lucas gets amorous with Cuddy, her blackberry rings with an emergency call from House and she ignores it. After a disappointing quickie session which doesn’t go well, Lucas apologizes and Cuddy heads to the hospital, late for work.

Cuddy arrives at the hospital only to be bombarded with requests from employees, no doubt a typical senario for her work day. House walks with Cuddy, telling her about his stakeout with Lucas. Cuddy discovers Lucas told House they have sex every morning. House bet Lucas that a phone call that morning from House would stop their quickie. House tells Cuddy about needing the O.R. for his patient soon. Cuddy brushes House off.

Cuddy’s 8:30 meeting with the insurance provider is delayed when she must deal with Dr. Hourani at the O.R., who complains to Cuddy that House turned up the air conditioning in the operating room to hurry his surgery up so House’s patient can go to surgery sooner. Cuddy tella Dr. Hourani she twill deal with House. Cuddy arrives late for her meeting with insurance executive Eli Morgan. The contract has been in negotiations for eight months and Cuddy has had it. Morgan offers 4% coverage while Cuddy insists on 12% coverage. Cuddy threatens Morgan with a press conference at 3:00 p.m. and a termination their contract with his company if they do not meet the hospital’s demands. Morgan rejects Cuddy’s proposal and walks out.

Cuddy faces the board who tell Cuddy the decision is hers but also her responsibility if the contract is not renewed. Cuddy takes a deep breath and continues with her day. Taub and Thirteen tell House their patient’s heart rate is decreasing. Cuddy is one step ahead of House and tells him not to infect his patient with malaria for a cure.

Dr. Thomas confronts Cuddy, telling her he is upset listening to Dr. Hourani’s complaints. Thomas blames Cuddy for coddling House, who lured Chase away from the doctor’s surgery team. Thomas calls her a bitch under his breath. When a doctor does not show up for clinic work, Cuddy covers. A patient with cancer asks Cuddy for a prescription for breast milk because he’s read it has cancer-fighting qualities. When Cuddy turns him down he calls her a bitch. A lawyer is waiting in Cuddy’s office to confront her about his client. The patient’s thumb was cut off at his construction job and he chose not to have it re-attached because his insurance would not cover the cost. Chase re-attached it against the man’s wishes. Now both the client and the insurance company do not want to pay the cost for the operation. Cuddy feels for the patient going bankrupt but tells the lawyer the hospital will fight their lawsuit.

Cuddy discovers a discrepancy with pharmacy ephedrine and calls in Gail, the pharmacy technician. Gail cries telling Cuddy she was trying to lose weight for her husband. Cuddy tells Gail she will not notify the DEA but must fire Gail for forging the pharmacy order. At lunch Wilson suggests to Cuddy she discuss the insurance problems with House, a master manipulator who always has the right answers to problems. House is sitting in Cuddy’s chair when she arrives at her office. House wants to give his patient malaria because it is the cheapest way to deliver hyperthermia. Cuddy wonders if this method is yet another House bet. House suggests the real bet is Cuddy rejecting the insurance company’s offer.

Cuddy is having problems reaching her nanny to see how her sick baby is doing. Cuddy finds out Lucas has turned off the phone ringer at home and taken the nanny’s cell phone instead of his by accident. Cuddy confronts the CEO of the insurance company during his expensive lunch. She asks him to reconsider the hospital’s proposal. The CEO won’t give an inch. Back at the hospital the hospital pharmacist tells Cuddy Gail has stolen ten cases of ephedrine. Cuddy realizes Gail has been selling the meds to meth dealers and asks him to call Gail back to the hospital.

Insurance executive Eli Morgan shows up in Cuddy’s office and offers her 8% instead of the original 4% on the contract. Cuddy has to make up her mind by 3:00 p.m. She sits in the stairwell trying to decide what to do next. House meets Cuddy as she leaves the stairwell. Cuddy asks for House’s advice on the insurance percentage. House wonders why she would put her job on the line for this and Cuddy remarks he would do the same thing.

Foreman tells the team they have a liver transplant for their patient. House does not want to use Dr. Hourani for the surgery, instead he wants to use Chase to prove a point to Dr. Hourani that Chase is the department’s best surgeon. Cuddy throws up her hands. Cuddy is paged to the pre-op area where the rest of the team is trying to stop a fistfight between Chase and Dr. Thomas. Cuddy calls them both to her office, but must first confront Gail. Cuddy finds out Gail is no longer crying instead threatening to bring down Cuddy, revealing House’s purchase of drugs from the pharmacy and the past relationship between House and Cuddy.

Cuddy has reached her limit and sits in her car in the hospital garage. House knocks his cane on her passenger door. Cuddy thought the insurance company was bluffing. House listens, then tells her he knows she won’t quit because the hospital means so much to her. House tells Cuddy Gail is a sociopath, giving Cuddy an idea. Cuddy talks to Gail, telling her she knows deep down she is a good person and did not mean to steal. Gail rails against Cuddy, admitting to stealing medicine since she was hired and threatening to bring her down with her if Cuddy reports her to the DEA. Cuddy takes a silk flower Lucas gave her from her desk, having recorded everything Gail just said, and tells nurse Regina to pass it on to the DEA.

As it hits 3:00 p.m., Cuddy prepares to go to the board and submit her resignation. Eli Morgan comes into her office, calling her “you bitch” in an admiring tone, then hands Cuddy a contract for 12% insurance coverage. Cuddy is elated and informs the staff and board. Cuddy sees the first installment of a check for the thumb replacement patient and rips up the check.

That night Cuddy snuggles in bed with her daughter Rachel as she sleeps, with Lucas lying beside her, feeling like the world is a little better now. The phone rings and Lucas asks Cuddy if she is going to answer it.

After Frank has to temporarily move in with Liz, Liz confronts Frank about his smoking habit and Frank complains about Liz’s need to exist on daily diet of donuts and Cornholes. Liz sees their rooming together as a sign, and encourages Frank to quit cold turkey along with her so they both end their gross habits.

Jenna meets her mother at a coffee shop, talking to herself and reminding herself about Jack’s rules. Verna for once appears not to have a self-centered agenda, pays Jenna back money she owed her and tells her she loves her. Jenna gives in and welcomes her mother back into her life with open arms. When Jenna shares with Jack that her mother has changed, he worries Verna will break Jenna’s heart again; he tells Jenna people just don’t change. Jack continues to be skeptical of Verna’s motives.

Verna throws a surprise birthday party for Jenna featuring a large birthday cake with Jenna’s face on it. Everyone from TGS is there to surprise Jenna, who is touched by her mother’s thoughtfulness. Jack tells Liz he thinks the party is leading up to a giant favor Verna will ask of Jenna. Liz thinks Jack is too cynical, just because his mother is awful doesn’t mean Jenna’s mother can’t change. Verna tells the party goers she apologizes for being a bad mother and asks only that Jenna sing a duet with her of an inappropriate Captain and Tennille love song. Jenna jumps at the chance while Jack is unimpressed with Verna’s change of heart.

The next morning Jack finds Verna in his office. Verna has come back into Jenna’s life in order to sell Jack an idea for a mother daughter reality series showing how awful her and Jenna’s relationship is. Jack pitches an idea of a loving mother and daughter reality show and Verna rejects it. Jack goes to Jenna’s dressing room to tell her that Verna is scamming Jenna but Jenna is so happy Jack decides to let her live out her fantasy.

Liz meets with the writers and tells them she has proof Frank is cheating when it comes to giving up smoking. Frank denies smoking at Liz’s apartment. Liz reveals she left a pack of cigarettes out then set up a camera to catch Frank in the act of cheating. Pete sets up the video and the writers watch. Liz sees herself sleepwalking, wearing night time Spanx while eating tons of junk food and is crushed. Frank suggests turning off the video, but suddenly Frank appears, fooling around with the TGS cleaning lady in Liz’s apartment. The last part of the video shows Liz eating cigarettes out of the box Liz left to tempt Frank, grossing everyone out.

Jack sets up another meeting with Verna. This time Jack suggests Verna behave as a model mother as long as Jack pays her for each visit, and agrees to throw in a tarp for her traveling washer and dryer. Liz, unaware of Jack and Verna’s arrangement, tells Jack he was wrong about Verna changing for the better. Jack smiles knowingly.

A representative from Sabre named Gabe meets the office team. Andy and Erin have a song prepared for his arrival. Gabe is so impressed he wants to upload a phone video of the song to the company website. Michael has mistakenly been calling the new company “Sa-brea” (a poor french rendition of the word) instead of Sabre around the office. Andy and Erin sing their song but keep calling the company “Sa-brea” by mistake. Awkwardness ensues during the song.

After the song, the Scranton employees watch a “Welcome to Sabre” video starring Christian Slater (playing himself) and the company’s CEO, Jo Bennett (guest star Kathy Bates). Jim watches the video and seems unimpressed. Gabe tells the employees there will be some changes starting today, including the addition of a firewall blocking social networking sites and games, as well as tracking of wasteful time spent on websites. A cost cutting measure eliminating paper cups from the water cooler and substituting Sabre aluminum water bottles instead leaves Michael upset about the new company changes.

Jim and Pam find a great daycare center four blocks away from the office. They make an appointment to tour the daycare. As they look around before the scheduled appointment they fall in love with the center. Jim opens the bathroom to check it out and see a man sitting on a teeny tiny children’s toilet. Embarrassed, Jim appologizes and closes the door quickly, wanting to leave, but Pam insists they stay for the interview.

Gabe calls in on a video conference to Sabre’s CEO Jo to give her an update on the office. Michael stands behind the computer encouraging Gabe to ask why changes have to be made. Jo senses someone else is in the room and has Gabe turn the laptop around so she can see Michael, who is pretending to just come in the room. Michael expresses his frustration with the changes from the new company and Jo is not impressed. Jo suggests Michael think things over before talking to her again, seeming more than happy to fire Michael if he complains again. Michael decides to take a drive to clear his head.

The daycare manager, the same man Jim walked in on in the bathroom, meets with Jim and Pam and they all sit down for the interview. Jim is uncomfortable and Jerry, the daycare manager, is abrupt and none too friendly when interviewing them. When Pam asks Jerry if the interview is not going well because Jim walked in on him in the bathroom, Jerry won’t answer. Jim gets ticked off at this point and asks Jerry why he didn’t just lock the bathroom door. Pam concedes out loud that the interview is going badly and she and Jim leave the daycare.

Michael drives to David Wallace’s house to ask him for advice. After spending time watching David shuffle around in his bathrobe and look unmotivated, Michael and David jump into the hot tub. David has a new business idea for a giant vacuumn that sucks up kid’s toys to help keep toys off the floor. David asks Michael to go into business with him with his invention. Michael thinks this is a dumb idea and quickly leaves David as he looks lost, waving at Michael as Michael backs out of Wallace’s driveway.

Erin waits patiently for Andy to ask her out, the only problem is that Andy figures its Erin’s turn to ask him out after his Christmas drum extravaganza. Andy keeps dropping big hints to Erin. Andy and Erin both hope each other will ask them out on a date.

After Michael’s depressing visit with David Wallace, Michael decides working for Sabre doesn’t sound so bad after all. Michael gathers Gabe and the office staff, proposing a toast of fresh orange juice (what Michael thinks would be the official drink from Sabre’s corporate office in Florida) to welcome Sabre to Scranton.

Annie pulls aside Britta and asks if she minds if she dates Britta’s ex Vaughn. Britta tells Annie she is fine with her dating Vaughn but really isn’t ok with the idea. Jeff and Britta meet at the cafeteria where Britta talks about Annie asking permission to date Vaughn. Jeff feels he and Britta should watch out for Annie since they are her “Greendale parents.”

Troy, Abed, Shirley and Pierce watch “Kickpuncher” together on movie night, with Senior Chang a last minute drop in. The rest of the gang jokes and laughs about the movie but Pierce doesn’t feel like he fits in. His lame movie jokes aren’t going over well.

Jeff and Britta see Vaughn and Annie together on campus. They decide the best thing to do is hatch a plan to break them up. Britta suggests convincing Troy to date Annie since Annie has had a crush on Troy for years. They think if Troy was a real option to Annie she’d drop Vaughn for him. Britta and Jeff tell Troy Annie has always been crazy about him. Jeff has a private conversation with Troy convincing him that Annie is hot. Britta tells Troy Annie is dating Vaughn to make Troy jealous. Troy decides he needs to check Annie out.

Pierce hires an on campus comedy sketch group to write jokes for him for the next movie night in Abed’s dorm room. Troy sees Annie in the cafeteria and hits on her, putting his arm around her. Annie doesn’t understand why Troy is acting so weird. Vaughn brings ice cream to Annie and sees Troy’s arm around her. Troy announces to Vaughn that Annie has always had a crush on him, which crushes Vaughn who walks away dejected, eating his ice cream. Annie discovers it was Jeff and Britta who convinced Troy to break up Annie and Vaughn.

As Jeff and Britta bask in the glow of breaking up Annie and Vaughn, Annie comes into the room and sarcastically thanks them for meddling in her love life. Next Troy storms in thanking them for getting him interested in Annie so that she can reject him.

The gang gets ready to watch another movie. Abed tells the group they are watching a different movie. Pierce, who has prepared jokes for “Kickpuncher 2″, fabricates a story about a family member who died making the movie. Abed and the rest of the gang go along with Pierce’s request to see “Kickpuncher 2″, only to find Pierce whipping out fast jokes for every scene. Shirley calls Pierce on preparing jokes for the movie and Pierce decides to leave for the evening but manages to fall over the coffee table and knock over the popcorn. The gang laughs at Pierce who joins in knowing he finally got the laugh he was looking for.

Jeff and Britta talk to Annie about Vaughn and feeling like protective parents. Britta admits she’s not ok with her friend dating her ex-boyfriend. Jeff accuses Britta of jealousy, Britta accuses Jeff of thinking Annie’s hot from the debate team make-out kiss, then the rest of the study group starts on a list of wild accusations about each other.

Annie hears Vaughn’s guitar and runs outside to see him as the gang follows her. Vaughn sings a sweet song written just for her and Annie is estatic. Annie asks Jeff and Britta if they are still is upset with her dating Vaughn and Jeff and Britta gives Annie their blessing, trusting Annie is a grown up after all.

House and the team discuss Daryl’s injuries and bizarre actions, watching the video tape of the incident. House attributes the outburst to steroid rage, but tests reveal he is clean. The team discovers Daryl injects his sore ankles with lidocane every game. Foreman suggests repeated head trauma might lead to damage at the base of the brain leading to the pituitary gland, creating excess hormones causing the rage. House has Taub test Daryl for elevated GNRH in the blood. Daryl’s mother tells Taub Daryl must be able to play in Saturday’s game because talent scouts will be there.

Wilson becomes angry with House when he wakes to find House taking a bath in Wilson’s bathroom. Wilson tells House to use his own bathroom but House says there is no tub in that bathroom and his leg is hurting. House examines a soldier going back to the middle east for a fourth deployment, trying to get out of the tour on a medical discharge because his wife is pregnant. House chides the soldier asking him why he didn’t to to Canada or shoot himself in the foot to avoid deployment?

Tests reveal Daryl’s pituitary is normal but the GNRH is high, indicating steroid use. Daryl denies steroid use and his heart begins to race. House suspects Daryl has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. House orders the team to put Daryl through a treadmill stress test.

House intercepts a call from Foreman’s brother Marcus who is asking for a ride after being released from jail. House knows Foreman is avoiding his brother, so he arranges a ride for Marcus. House decides to hire Marcus as his assistant, knowing it will irritate Foreman, who doesn’t want his brother to work there.

Wilson returns home to find an opossum has gotten into the bathroom and made a mess. Wilson suspects House of retaliation but House says he didn’t do it. Wilson tells House he thinks the real reason House hired Marcus was to help the brothers connect again. House denies he is helping anyone. Chase tells House Daryl’s heartrate never went over 150 on the treadmill and did not induce heart problems. House decides an injection of a vasodilator will do the trick instead.

House finds Daryl packing up to leave the hospital. House notices the palms of Daryl’s hands are turning white. Taub, Thirteen and Chase offer suggestions regarding the symptom, but Foreman thinks Lymphoma fits the symptoms. House orders an ethanol drip to test for Lymphoma or Takayasu. If Daryl becomes itchy, the symptoms indicate Lymphoma and they must remove his spleen. If it is Takayasu, Daryl will lose his radial pulse, indicating steroids for his treatment. Marcus is sent by House to spy on Foreman and Thirteen while they work with Daryl.

The soldier comes back to the hospital with an injured foot. House is shocked to see the soldier has shot himself and one of his toes may need to be amputated. House prescribes antibiotics and tells the soldier he can still be sent back into active duty with nine toes. House decides to take a bath in Wilson’s bathroom to ease the pain in his leg. As House uses the safety rail to get out of the tub it comes off the wall and he falls, gashing his face. Wilson looks perplexed as House confronts him, telling him this is war over the bathroom.

Daryl becomes itchy from the test, indicating Lymphoma. As Chase removes Daryl’s spleen in the operating room he shows Foreman the liver is inflamed. They are wrong about Lymphoma. Foreman tells the team it is not Lymphoma and the team suggests other possible diseases relating to Daryl’s symptoms. House gets the scoop on Foreman’s childhood from Marcus and reveals the news to the team, upsetting Foreman. Foreman tells House Daryl’s blood is clotting, noting with the cold football weather he must have cryoglobulinemia.

House asks Marcus about his jail time. Marcus tells House it is his fault Foreman got in trouble with the law and that Foreman had spent years trying to never disappoint his mother again. House discovers Foreman’s mother died recently and Foreman did not tell anyone on the team about her death. House realizes Wilson did not loosen the safety rail in the bathroom because they did not have the right wrench to loosen it. House and Wilson stay up most of the night to surprise the intruder. Suddenly the overhead sprinklers turn on, soaking them and the apartment. Wilson concedes House would never do anything to harm the big screen TV. House and Wilson decide someone is pranking them.

Daryl decides he must leave to go to the football game even if it means he could die on the field. House reveals to the team that Foreman’s mother died recently. Marcus told House not to upset Foreman by mentioning his mother’s death and quits his job. Foreman accompanies Daryl to the game. Daryl is feeling very ill. Realizing he cannot see, Daryl decides he must go back to the hospital.

Foreman visits his brother Marcus at his halfway house. Foreman asks Marcus to stay with him because family is important. The brothers bond and Marcus asks Foreman’s forgiveness for his past drug use. House notices Daryl did not lose much weight in the hospital, someone his size should have lost more weight. Chase thinks Daryl is creating antibodies to combat cancer, called paraneoplasitc syndrome. House decides Daryl’s dark skin is masking a melanoma, House finds the melanoma between his toes. Treatment will make Daryl well again but he worries what he will do without the scout opportunities football gave him.

House and Wilson go to lunch in the cafeteria. House suddenly trips, spilling his lunch tray. Lucas comes face to face with House and admits to tripping House and pranking he and Wilson in retaliation for buying the condo Cuddy wanted to buy. Cuddy talks to Lucas about pranking House and Wilson and encourages him to ease up on it since it was just a condo she lost.

House sees the soldier being wheeled out of the hospital. Apparently the soldier did not take antibiotics so his foot would become infected and he would not have to go back to war. House is stunned to see the soldier’s foot has been amputated.

The premise of this culinary show is chef Ramsay called in to help some of the most problematic, failed kitchens in America. Chef Ramsay is first invited to meet the restaurant owners and dine in their restaurant, judging the food and observing the restaurant customers and atmosphere. Chef Ramsay’s expertise is called on to update the restaurant, find the right style of food to serve to gain customers and work directly with the restaurant owners, chefs and wait staff to improve their business. The goal is to make the restaurant sought after and popular, leading to success in the restaurant biz or if they fail, to close their doors forever.

Chef Ramsay’s previous Kitchen Nightmares episodes from season 1 include Sante La Brea in Los Angeles, where health food was in actuality spoiled food, served along with bad attitudes; The Secret Garden in California, a french restaurant catering to an older crowd, with old fashioned furnishings and $300,000 in debt owed; New York’s Long Island restaurant, Finn McCool’s, a family-owned restaurant cutting corners on the quality of their food, with the restaurant slowly dying; in Bellmore, a suburb near New York City, The Mixing Bowl had owners working themselves to death doing everyone else’s job while the manager schmoozed with customers; and The Seascape Inn on Long Island, one of the most historical and successful restaurants there, featured the owners, a mother and son, at each other’s throats, along with a head chef who would not listen to them.

As abrupt as chef Ramsay can be, he seems to identify problems quickly and pick up on relationships or service that are impeding the success of the restaurant. Chef Ramsay shows his friendlier side in this show in comparison to Hell’s Kitchen but still steps in and calls it like he sees it when problems arise.

Season 3 of Kitchen Nightmares premieres with Chef Ramsay visiting Philadelphia’s Hot Potato Cafe, owned by two sisters and their sister-in-law. The restaurant was founded two years ago but problems running the cafe along with stress is tearing the family apart. Chef Ramsay knows motivation, passion, and spirit originally energized the restaurant, but now finds these prime ingredients lacking.

Gordon Ramsay is a chef, television personality and restaurateur. Chef Ramsay has been awarded a total of 12 Michelin Stars. He is a cookbook author and operator of numerous restaurants worldwide.

The new season of Kitchen Nightmares premieres this Friday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.

Wilson finds House asleep on his couch in his office. Wilson wants to know who House is avoiding by staying in Wilson’s office. House tells Wilson he is avoiding Wibberly, a fellow student from med school. House switched their finals paper to get a better grade from the teacher. Wilson discovers in treatment House was required to write a letter of apology to someone he hurt so he sent Wibberly a letter. Wibberly is interested in meeting with House, who can’t be bothered with him.

Valerie’s co-worker Russ confronts Valerie in her hospital room, accusing her of an affair with him and of drugging him at the meeting so he would be fired. Valerie’s husband is startled by this news and Thirteen gets a bad vibe from Valerie.

The team thinks Russ poisoned Valerie but Thirteen disagrees. Foreman orders Thirteen to go ahead with the beta-blockers prescribed by House. House is seen in Cuddy’s office talking on his cell phone to the team while defacing Cuddy’s framed pictures of her boyfriend Lucas. Wibberly walks into the office, telling House Wilson told him he’d be there. While having coffee together House learns that Wibberly never became a doctor, his switch of papers led to Wibberly failing his final and dropping out of med school. Wibberly tells House he is a grocery bagger, making House feel even guilter than before.

Thirteen suggests Valerie undergo an MRI before receiving the beta-blockers. Thirteen shows Foreman the MRI reveals Valerie is not using the emotional part of her brain, revealing she is a psychopath. House, Thirteen and Foreman confront Valerie who pretends she is innocent but then admits she poisoned Russ to steal his ideas for work. Valerie admits she only married her husband for his money. Thirteen is appalled by her lack of conscience.

House knows there must be a connection between the psychopath and cardiac arrhythmia yet psychopathy is genetic and not a symptom. Foreman thinks Tertiary syphilis fits the symptoms. House tells Thirteen he is ruling out Wilson and Hashimoto’s diseases. Foreman tells House he needs to discipline Thirteen for not following his orders but House tells Foreman that is his job as her supervisor. Cuddy confronts House about her damaged photos, letting him know he cut up the last photo her father took of her. House feels remorse, a new feeling for him.

House, feeling guilty, decides to visit Wibberly at home. He discovers Wibberly is packing up his house, his bills for his father’s health care means he can’t pay his mortgage. Thirteen and Taub test Valerie for syphilis. Valerie threatens Thirteen if she tells her husband the truth about her she will have Thirteen fired. Thirteen moves Valerie’s arm to administer a test and Valerie’s arm is broken.

Tests reveal Valerie’s bones are brittle. Syphilis is ruled out so Foreman is leaning towards lymphoma. House orders radiotherapy treatment. House reprimands Thirteen and Foreman who continue to argue at work since they have broken up. Thirteen suggests to Valerie’s husband he check on her landscaping class to see if they used toxins, which will reveal Valerie was lying to her husband about attending classes. As House administers a radiotherapy session, Valerie goads him about being like her, without a conscience. When Valerie’s husband confronts her about her class, Valerie makes up another lie to cover her tracks. Valerie asks Cuddy to fire Thirteen or she will sue the hospital. Cuddy is not impressed with the threat but tells Valerie Thirteen is off Valerie’s case to placate her. Valerie calls the medical board and reports Thirteen. Thirteen confronts Valerie in front of her husband and Foreman, who tells Thirteen to leave the room. After a heated argument Foreman appologizes to Thirteen for firing her and hopes they can work together again.

After being paged Foreman rushes to Valerie’s room and finds her covered in blood. Valerie’s liver is failing and blood is spilling into her esophagus, she is rushed to the operating room. The team decides Valerie needs a liver transplant but cannot provide one without a diagnosis.

Wilson finds House writing a check to cover Wibberly’s mortgage. Wilson hammers House about apologizing to Cuddy, who was in love with House for years but instead House treated her badly. Wilson thinks it is easier for House to be kind to a stranger than to apologize to Cuddy, someone he really cares about.

Thirteen finds out Valerie’s estranged sister has been tested for a liver transplant. Thirteen discovers Valerie changed in personality during puberty after a horrific childhood with an abusive father. Thirteen realizes Valerie’s raw food diet include nuts which are high in copper and have awakened the dormant symptoms of Wilson’s disease in her. House and Thirteen test nail polish remover on Valerie’s finger and her nail turns blue, proving Valerie cannot process copper. House starts Valerie on Chelation therapy. Thirteen tells Valerie’s husband she may change with the therapy but chances are she will remain uncaring and continue to use him for his money. Valerie’s husband thinks his love is enough for the both of them.

House visits Wibberly to give him a check face-to-face. Wibberly refuses the check, telling House he got an A+ on the paper and didn’t drop out of med school, instead he became an orthopedic surgeon but ruined his career with a gambling problem. Wibberly thought House would still be a bastard and is surprised by his generosity, but says no to the check.

Valerie’s health improves with treatment and she will eventually be ready for a liver transplant. Thirteen watches as Valerie’s husband sits by her side but Valerie rejects him to drive him away from the marriage, as he walks away she begins to cry. Thirteen realizes Valerie is feeling remorse and her personality has changed for the good from the treatment. Thirteen seeks out Foreman to mend their relationship, helping him decipher Taub’s written notes for Foreman’s report.

House visits Cuddy’s office to apologize to her, but finds her talking with Lucas and leaves. House visits Wibberly’s home, dropping the check he wrote through the mail slot to help Wibberly pay his mortgage.
